Mooresville/Lake Norman Relay For Life 2006 Introduces New Co-Chairs, Name, Location and Sets Date

Mooresville, N.C. – The local Relay for Life has a new name to go with the new location. The 2006 Mooresville/Lake Norman Relay for Life will take place at the Lake Norman High School instead of Mooresville Senior High School. The dates selected by the planning committee are April 28-29, 2006. This year also introduces new co-chairs, Brenda Harvey and Jill Lowe, who stepped up from former planning committee positions.


“We are excited about this year’s Relay,” said co-chair Brenda Harvey. “We hope the new location brings in more people to the event and gets the word out about what Relay is all about.”

The Mooresville/Lake Norman Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate cancer survivorship and raise money for research and programs of the American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people will gather at Lake Norman High School and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.
